Questions people ask

Can Claude or ChatGPT see my bank account?
Only through the connector you add, and only to read. Simpl Finance MCP exposes four read-only tools (transactions, balances, accounts, and spending by category) to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client. Your assistant never sees your bank login.
Can the AI move money or make payments?
No. There is no tool to move money, open an account, or change anything at your bank. The capability is absent, not gated behind a confirmation.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Claude, ChatGPT, and any assistant that supports remote MCP servers. One connector covers all of them.
How does the bank connection work?
You sign in to your bank through Plaid. Simpl Finance MCP receives a scoped access token, never your credentials, and encrypts it before storing it. Disconnecting a bank revokes the token with Plaid.
